On 15 December, the President of our Association for preserving heritage, Lojze Senčar, opened the 12th exhibition of nativity scene in the hidden places of Gradež. Mayor of Velike Lašče, dr. Tadej Malovrh, welcomed about 200 visitors and wished them a nice evening, happy holidays and a happy New Year. The exhibition will be on view until January 2nd, 2020.

On Sunday, September 15, 2019, our association again proved to be a successful organization of the Dry Fruit Festival and the Hike by Trubar`s birth parish. Only 50 hikers took part in the morning trails, but more than 2.000 people visited Gradež, who spent an unforgettable afternoon. Occasionally, all the tables were occupied and more parking was needed.

Before the rain and considerable cooling at the beginning of the school year, we successfully put under the roof the organically grown millet.

On the 22nd of June, our society organized the seventh evening in the village, which was attended by quite a few villagers despite the bad weather.

On a sunny June Saturday, members of our association took part in a professional excursion to Lake Wörthersee and a few nearby villages. One of these is the home of Christian Zeichen, a Slovene from Carinthia, on whose initiative groups of Carinthian tourists have been coming to Gradež for several years, so we wanted to return his visit somehow.

An exhibition of paintings by members of the Association of Visual Artists of Ljubljana in amateur local painters was concluded. It was held from 13 to 20 May 2019 at the Dom krajanov Turjak.

On Saturday, 16th February an annual general meeting of our association was held, it was attended by a half of its members.

It has become a tradition that a few of our members attend an Alpe-Adria (Alps-Adria) fair, this year the 30th taking place between the 30th of January and the 2nd of February.

Once more did our Association for preserving heritage successfully put up the nativity scene in the hidden places of Gradež, the biggest nativity scene in Slovenia - 350 nativity scenes were put up and 3000 people visited us just to see them. You can imagine that such a big number of visitors, was a big deal for our village, especially because there are only 260 inhabitants, including the new settlement, and the old Gradež only has 120 inhabitants.
