On Sunday, March 8, 2020, members of our Association celebrated Women's Day and Martyrs Day.

This year the wedding with the masks, here called »mačkare«, was primarily intended for fun, and not so much for haunting winter, that we almost never had ...

On Saturday, 28th February an annual general meeting of our association was held and was attended by approximately half the of members.

Under the auspices of the Tourist Association of Slovenia, our association again presented itself at the Alpe-Adria (Alps-Adria) fair, which was held at the exhibition center Gospodarsko razstavišče Ljubljana from 29th January to 1st February.

This year, we counted 345 cribs, and maybe even more than last year, because they have been added since the opening of the exhibition, December 15 ... otherwise our intention is not to set records every year. More than 4,000 visitors have seen the exhibition by January 2, although the guided tour was canceled on December 22 due to heavy rain. Therefore, Santa Claus visited the youngest only on December 29 and took them enthusiastically with a special bus.

On 15 December, the President of our Association for preserving heritage, Lojze Senčar, opened the 12th exhibition of nativity scene in the hidden places of Gradež. Mayor of Velike Lašče, dr. Tadej Malovrh, welcomed about 200 visitors and wished them a nice evening, happy holidays and a happy New Year. The exhibition will be on view until January 2nd, 2020.

On Sunday, September 15, 2019, our association again proved to be a successful organization of the Dry Fruit Festival and the Hike by Trubar`s birth parish. Only 50 hikers took part in the morning trails, but more than 2.000 people visited Gradež, who spent an unforgettable afternoon. Occasionally, all the tables were occupied and more parking was needed.

Before the rain and considerable cooling at the beginning of the school year, we successfully put under the roof the organically grown millet.

On the 22nd of June, our society organized the seventh evening in the village, which was attended by quite a few villagers despite the bad weather.

On a sunny June Saturday, members of our association took part in a professional excursion to Lake Wörthersee and a few nearby villages. One of these is the home of Christian Zeichen, a Slovene from Carinthia, on whose initiative groups of Carinthian tourists have been coming to Gradež for several years, so we wanted to return his visit somehow.
