For several years now, this has been the numerically largest exhibition of nativity scenes in Slovenia. Last year, again around 350 nativity scenes were erected, but in the previous two years, due to the epidemic, there were significantly fewer, and they were only displayed outdoors.
The nativity scenes are usually display in houses, small chapels, cellars, granaries… and in open air, they are smaller than one cm and sometimes enormous. We can’t come up with any more ways of making the scene, we have tried everything. The authors are the villagers and also people from other Slovene towns, in the last years many cribs have been brought from abroad.
We prepare all Sundays:
- sguided tours to all the scenes
- process of making the festivity scene is put on display
- holiday market
- hot drinks and something for the hungry.
At the opening of the exhibition there will be a short Christmas concert, We also organize an exhibition of "poprtnik" (Christmas bread) and if it is possible a surprise for the youngest visitors.
A more detailed program will be prepared in November.
