On Mardi Gras Saturday, March 1, 2023, we were able to admire the "masquerade" in Gradež again. 

In the morning, Marko Šavli, a member of the association, led the children's procession around the village with some parents. 18 children gathered and transformed into very different characters. Among other things, we saw a solar system, an astronaut, a fairy, a mermaid, a unicorn, a deer and some other animals, a clown, a carpenter and even Isaac Newton. They sang and danced in front of every house, and the villagers filled their baskets and sacks well.

In the afternoon, unfortunately, there was no wedding procession, because too many members were disabled or in poor health, so it was impossible to assemble enough characters for the ceremony. But we hope that at least the children did their job well and chased away the winter.
