• It was established in 2004, after the fruit drying house was renovated in 2003,
• It has almost 100 members coming from Gradež and its surroundings,
• It holds a status of a society in the public interest in the field of culture, which it was given by the Ministry for culture, and it has a status of a tourist society which it was given by the Tourist association of Slovenia.
• We keep the natural and cultural heritage and preserve the old customs
• We take care of the development of tourism in a pristine natural environment in the country,
• We educate about the importance of dried fruit as part of a healthy diet of the past and new generations
• We organise workshops about old chores, ecologically produced food and the preservation of it,
• We organise the sightseeing tours around the village, hikes, tasting of produce and dishes made by the old recipes.
• We prepare the visits of cultural, natural and historical sight from river Idrijca to river Kolpa
• We help with the accommodation for our visitors.

In 2016 we revived a tradition of »mačkarada« (carnival), which represents a wedding parade and is very typical for the region. We occasionally organise corn pealing and some other old customs.
