This year, we moved our event Evening in the village to Friday, June 21, because the firemen from Turjak had a party on the announced Saturday. Krheljčki and choir Potoški fantje were performing.  

After the opening greeting of President Lojze Senčar, Mayor Matjaž Hočevar spoke some encouraging words to our association, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

First, Krheljčki, our youngest, sang a few songs under the direction of Petra Jakob Merljak, and accompanied by Klemen Jakob's guitar, Rebeka Merljak also impressed with a solo performance of the beautiful national song Pod rožnato planino.

The Potoški fantje choir also sang a series of well-known and lesser-known folk songs, ending with the patriotic Oj, Triglav, my home.

For a while it "threatened" that we would have to move under the roof because of the rain, but we did not let ourselves be scared and the rain "let down".

The visit was large enough that the members who took care of the service had their hands full, and the visitors left satisfied in the evening after a friendly chat and socializing.

There will be something more in September's Trobla.
