This year, the 15th Exhibition of nativity scene was held in the hidden corners of Gradež, from December 18 to January 8, 2023, 350 cribs were on display.

The first day of the exhibition, on December 18 at 5:30 p.m., after the opening greeting of president Lojze Senčar, we were first warmed up with Christmas carols by the youngest villagers Krheljčki, and then by the mixed church choir from Škocjan. An old acquaintance, Vlado Nunčič, once again showed how he masters the old medieval musical instrument "oprekelj" and folk instrument "lajna".

Great interest was caused by the newly exhibited metal nativity scene, which the author Alojz Burja from Volčji Potok had been making for thirty years. In addition to the nativity scene, the exhibition also includes other figures that depict rural life (making hay, carneval ...). For the first time, a nativity scene from the twinned Swiss town of Lützelflüh was also on display.

In Goršič's house, Tomaž and Lado Jakob demonstrated how wooden figurines are created from their hardworking hands, while Beti Jakob and Mateja Jakob Owen were tying lace.

This year, lighted signposts in the form of a shooting star were newly installed, and transport from Turjak and back was also organized for visitors on individual days.

At the end of the exhibition, on January 8 at 5:30 p.m., Potoški fantje (The Boys from Loški Potok), the female vocal group Alegria and Vlado Nunčič with the singer Karmen Gajšek performed. At the stand with a traditional offer of the association, traditional Christmas bread "poprtnik" was served for a tasting.

During the exhibition, the members of the association took care of guiding around the village, selling at the stand and serving hot drinks and snacks.

The exhibition received quite a bit of interest in the media, among others it was presented in the telecast "Dobro jutro" (Good Morning) on TV Slovenija and on the first program of Slovenian national radio.
