Stroll through the magical village by torchlight and look for nativity scenes in the hidden corners of Gradež. This year, the exhibition will be held from December 21, 2025 to January 4, 2026. The official opening will be on December 21 at 5:30 PM with a Christmas concert, guided tour and a local market. At the end of the exhibition on January 5, 2025 at 5:30 PM, there will be an exhibition and a tasting of Christmas bread (poprtnik).

At sundays and many other days hot drinks and snacks will be waiting for you. You may also be able to watch the makers at work at the opening and closing of the exhibition. The nativity scenes will be exhibited in various places throughout the village (in chapels, on windows, under haystacks, outdoors, etc.). The authors are locals and from other Slovenian places, and the villagers also brought many of them from abroad. We can no longer imagine a material from which they have not been made, nor a size that we have not seen before. Some are over 150 years old. Last year, the Austrian TV ORF also filmed a report on the nativity scene exhibition.

Guided tours will be held every day from 4 to 7 p.m.; for larger groups, we recommend prior notification.
