On Sunday, September 15th, at 9 a.m., you are invited to the Hike by Trubar's birth parish and at 12 p.m. to the central event of our association, the Holiday of dried fruit, which will also be a celebration of the association's 20th anniversary.

This tour was given a honorary title for "the best regional tour" in UE Ljubljana in 2016, at a tender for the best theme tour under a slogan My country – beautiful and hospitable, organised by the Tourist association of Slovenia. The purpose of this tour is to pay respects to the father of Slovene literature, whose birth place was in the neighbouring village of the same municipality. A memory of counts of Turjak is revived because they supported the protestants and we also revive the memory of the era when this parish was much bigger than today.

 The tour programme:

• at 9 am departure from Dom krajanov Turjak (bus stop)
• walk through a forest study path to Trubar's homestead at Rašica, where you will learn something new about the father of Slovenian literature
• continuing to the church of St Kancian in Škocjan, were Trubar was baptised - by explaining the history of the parish
• arrival to Gradež, where we will serve you a stew and apple pie (price 6 euros) upon prior registration (at the start), we will also prepare a tasting of "štruklji" (cooked wrapped dough, similar to dumplings) with dried fruit filling
• tour of the heritage of the village (fruit drying room, house where the composer Marij Kogoj lived, exhibition of old farm tools, old wells, inn cellar, hayracks, apiary, chapels ...)
