This year's event was held in the yard of the hosts and members, Jelka and Damjan Petrič, under two linden trees on Friday, June 19th, with performances by Krheljčki and the Vigred (Spring) Quartet.

After an introductory greeting from society member Roman Jeglič, Mayor Matjaž Hočevar wished us many more years of successful revival of the tradition, and the event was also attended by his former deputy mayor, now member of parliament Dejan Zakrajšek. Roman went on to congratulate Vice President Jožica and her husband Stane Zabukovac on their 55th wedding anniversary, which they celebrated that very day.

The Krheljčki sang under the direction of Petra Jakob Merljak and accompanied by Miha Merljak on guitar. Their cheerful voices, as usual, delighted the audience, and they received special applause for the mischievous idea that, during the verses "the fish swam and the girl splashed", they poured water all around us from glasses that they had hidden behind the stage. President Lojze Senčar said that this was their last performance under the direction of Petra Jakob Merljak. He thanked her for at least two groups that she led, from which some of the members have already grown up. She will hand over the leadership to her daughter Rebeka, also a former member, and the president wished her success in her work.

The Vigred Quartet performed in two parts with their voices restrained, and at the end they sang at the table. We heard a song about a bonfire, Katrca, Nocoj pa, oh nocoj and many others, and for variety, also some Dalmatian ones. They promised to sing at the opening of our nativity scene exhibition.

The service from our members was excellent, no one was left thirsty or hungry, we spent a nice evening chatting, socializing, and listening to the singers.

There will be more in the September Trobla.
