Our association presented itself as part of the Tourist Association of Slovenia at the 33rd Alpe-Adria Fair, which took place from February 15 to 18 at the Economic Exhibition Center in Ljubljana.
A total of nine members from our association and a member of the Rural Women of Velika Lašče participated in individual days of the fair. The visitors the work of our association, especially traditional events, and showed individual rural tasks (making toothpicks, baskets, mats from corn peels and working on a spinning wheel).
Visitors were presented with propaganda material and displays on monitors and billboards about the work of our association, especially traditional events, as well as tourist spots in the entire municipality. Individual rural tasks were shown "live" (making toothpicks, doormats and paper flowers, weaving baskets and spinning on a spinning wheel). They made contacts with many other exhibitors, especially from the societies they meet with every year.
There was also a our culinary offer at the stand. For the tasting, participants of the fair were prepared "potica" made from millet porridge and men's "potica", a rise made from millet porridge and dried fruit.
