In the spirit of keeping old customs and traditions, the members of our associations put on masks on the Saturday of Pust (Mardi Gras), we call people in masks »mačkare«.

In the morning the children walked around the village accompanied by our president and a few parents. In the afternoon adults we attended the »mardi gras parade« which was once typical of this region. The parade is composed from wedding attendees with the »pust« with broom, who must sweep in front of each house. These are a groom and a bride, their witnesses, their parents, a musician, a guard, some wedding guests from the village and from town and a must, a »korbarica« with basket who was diligently collecting gifts from the villagers, so that in the evening we had something to dine. Unfortunately, we were not able to chase the winter away.
